The location shooting of ‘Hiripoda Wessa’ the latest direction of Udayakantha Warnasuriya is over and the film is at its postproduction stage. The twenty-first production of EAP Films, Hiripoda Wessa portrays a love story coloured with music and dances.

Indian choreographer Gautham has trained the dancers here and the film will be produced with cinemascope DTS technology. Earlier Udayakantha directed "Rosa Wasanthe" and "Yakada Pihatu" for EAP Films.

The young and upcoming cast include Chathurika Peiris, Anarkalee, Jeewarani Kuruku-lasuriya, Jayalath Manoratne, Jayantha Atapattu, Roshan Ranawaka, Pubudu Shathuranga, Harshani Perera, Janith Wickremage, Akila Sanda Kelum and number of newcomers.

The cameraman Jayanath Gunawaradena who filmed both earlier films with EAP Films, would join Udaya-kantha and others in the technical crew Ebert Wijesinghe-the makeup artiste, Suneth Nandalal-art director and Donald Jayantha- assistant director.

The young and popular singing duo Bathiya-Santhush has set the melodies for the songs in Hiripoda Wessa and this is their first musical attempt in cinema. The film is scheduled to be released in November this year.
