A dramatist is killed in an accident leaving behind his young teacher-wife and two children.  The school principal, a conservative disciplinarian bachelor proposes to marry her.  The teacher agrees for their own future security and stability.  She marries him and settles down in his house.  She finds that the image of her new husband was quite opposite to what she expected, resulting destruction of her family life.  During these period insurgency activities was marked with violence which ultimately resulted the principle being shot dead by a young teacher in the same school.
