‘Salamuthu Pinna’, which
introduced popular singing due Athula Adikari and Indika
Upamali to the silver screen was released in twenty-
two theatres from August 5 in 2004.
The film was
screened on EAP circuit cinemas and a few others including
Cinecity Colombo. Roy de Silva directed it while Cinemas
Limited handled the production.
The film brings
back the memories of good old days where the stars themselves
rendered their songs and acted. The film with a number of
songs sung by Nuwan Gunawardena, Ishak Baig and Sangeeth
Wickremasinghe in addition to the main two stars Indika and
Athula has taken director Roy de Silva in a different
direction in film making.
