BIOGRAPHY

H. A. Perera (born on May 10, 1950) is a Sri Lankan actor who has made a mark through his appearances on several popular television serials and films.

Habarakadage Aloysius Perera was born in Colombo to Palagame Arachige Mary Theresa and Habarakadage Vincent Perera. H. A. attended Moduru Santha Jamis Misha school. He has four siblings: Bernard Perera, Hubert Perera, Kinsal Perera and Anstini Perera.

Perera made his way through several higher education schools and completed his studies in London. In 1973 he joined his first theatrical group. In 1982, Perera made his television debut with a role in Janalayan A Amutha. In 1987, he appeared in Sumitra Peries' Sagara Jalaya Madi Haduwa Oba Hinda in his most highly regarded film role.

Subsequently Perera has been a regular on television serials appearing in Doo Daruwo and Nedeyo among others.
